Hello, I'm Paul Beetham

Multiple Jeep owner, also owned a Dodge Ramcharger in the past.

Location: Clover, South Carolina
Country: U.S.A.
Occupation: Designer
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: Apr 1963
Years of Experience: 25

My first 4WDing experience

My first 4wd experience was rescuing my friend's car from the beach in Wildwood, N.J. I got it unstuck using his bumper jack and some driftwood from the dunes. We sent one guy on the minibike to find help, and they came back in a lifted blazer only to find the car safely in the parking lot of the nearest hotel.

My recent 4x4 adventures

Been wheeling the last few weekends with my club at a somewhat secret location that is close to home.

Great destinations for camping and 4WDing

As of yet, I have not been able to combine these two activities but I'm close.

My dream rides

been thinking about West Virginia lately

My favorite workshop

What modifications have I done to my 4x4?

Too many to list here. Some listed in about.

How I started to modify my 4x4 vehicle

Couldn't help myself, thanks internet!

Tyres and Wheels:

YJ has bald mud tires for now. XJ has BFG/AT's 31"x 10.5-15

YJ stock XJ 3" junkyard lift

YJ 4.2L XJ 4.0L

Body and Exterior:

YJ front fenders removed, doors removable Hood & tailgate removable, Bikini top or soft top. also have hardtop.

YJ no carpets Spare tire mounted in bed

Other Cool Gear:

What are my next plan?

Like to get some D-60's for the YJ and a D-300 then lift it and much bigger tires. 37's maybe bigger?

What are the most challenging when modifying my 4x4?

Club information that I would like to share

The club is based in the area to the west and South of Charlotte, N.C. We have many members although I stopped counting after 100. Some stay in contact and attend events, others have moved out of the area. It is a family oriented club. We usually have a potluck picnic meet-n-greet about once a month, and wheel at local spots, Uwharrie, and sometimes Gulches too. https://www.facebook.com/groups/lakewyliewheelers/ Sorry the link may not work. We are on Facebook "Lake Wylie Wheelers"
